Citizens Advice Leighton-Linslade (CALL)
JOIN OUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Trustees are volunteers who use their experience and develop their skills and knowledge to help guide and govern CALL. They work with the Chief Officer and other staff to shape strategy and give direction.
The Board of Trustees’ Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring Service Quality: Ensure CALL offers high-quality advice services to the local community.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure the charity complies with the law, including the upkeep of premises, insurance, recruitment, and equipment.
- Funding: Help secure funding to meet current and new demands, ensuring all funds are used responsibly.
- Community Engagement: Liaise with local organisations, funders, and community members to raise awareness of CALL’s vital services.
- Board Participation: Attend 4 Board meetings per year.
- Skill Development: Take on roles within the organisation that complement your experience and develop your skills.
- Training: Participate in any required training.
Qualities Needed:
- Non-judgemental: Respect all views, values, and cultures.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Responsibility: Accept the responsibilities and liabilities of a trustee.
Time Commitment:
- Besides the Board meetings, there is flexibility around the time allocation. However, you are expected to devote sufficient time to meet the requirements of your role.
