Recruiting for Chair of Trustees at Citizens Advice Leighton Linslade
Citizens Advice Leighton Linslade (CALL) is a small charity that provides information and advice to help people resolve their problems, including benefits, debt, employment, housing. Free and independent advice is offered to help people solve the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives. Last year our 45 volunteers and 8 members of staff helped almost 2,500 local people with about 11,000 issues. The service is based Bossard House in Central Leighton Buzzard and has an outreach service at a local GP surgery.
We are looking for a new Chair to lead our Board of Trustees to ensure that the trustee board provides long term strategic management of the organisation. The role of Chair of Trustees will include supervision of the Chief Officer.
We welcome applications from all sections of the community to enable us to have a diverse trustee board that reflects our clients and communities.
Experience of the role of trustee and understanding of the Citizens Advice service will be an advantage. However, we are looking for people with a wide variety of skills and a diversity of background and experiences.
The post of trustee is a voluntary one but all reasonable expenses are reimbursed. The role is stimulating, varied and provides a great deal of satisfaction with the opportunity to develop and utilise your expertise, skills and knowledge.
