Join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of Citizens Advice in Leighton-Linslade
CALL is one of 300 local Citizens Advice across England and Wales, each of which is a registered charity with its own board of trustees. The Board oversees the management and finances of the charity and is responsible for deciding how the service is developed to meet the needs of the community. Trustees volunteer their time and expertise and are given the opportunity to utilise their skills or develop new ones in a supportive environment.
Last year CALL’s 45 volunteers and eight members of staff helped around 2,500 people in Leighton-Linslade with about 11,000 different issues, and demand for their advice and support, especially regarding the impact of coronavirus, is greater than ever.
The Trustee Board meets, in the evenings, 4 times a year in Leighton Buzzard. The Chair and Trustees work with the Chief Officer and other Trustees to help with long term planning, communication, fund raising, policy making, campaigns and many other fields. The role is stimulating, satisfying, flexible and, most importantly, develops our organisation to grow and reach out to help more people.
No specific qualifications are required, and we welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience who can bring innovative ideas and good judgement as we continue to develop our services.
If you are interested in either of the roles and would like more information, an informal chat and/or application form please contact: Kash Karimzandi, Chief Officer, on 01525 374589 or email kashkarimzandi@leightonlinsladecab.org.uk
